I just rented a cottage near town. It will be Jack and I along with Lola, Sophie, Ty and 3 dachshunds.

If anyone else is interested in a house or cottage. There is a log cabin near downtown that just emailed me after we booked a different one. It is available for 3 nights. $150 per night.

Just wanted to say thank you, you guys, for taking such good care of Meg this afternoon! I just heard chapter and book about how much it meant to her - you are all Very Good Eggs indeed!!!

Big hugs from here - hope you are all having fun!

Just wanted to post a big thank you to Teri for getting this organized. MsKate, Nani, Kylee and I are heading back to home today.

I think everybody had an extra 100 words a day with Kylee there...."They are all Newfs...except the golden."

We couldn't of asked for better weather. We had a couple brief downpours during our lunch but we were all in the shelter so it worked out well.

After lunch we went on the River Walk. That was simply the best walk I've ever been on. Seeing peoples faces light up as you made it around the corner was so cool. We didn't get stopped a whole lot, but Syd refused the walk. He was way too tired after the park.

Cell coverage and internet access is spotty at best up here. I'm posting through a wifi I think from a set of cabins across the river that has just enough range to let me connect about 3 times out of 10 tries.

I'm sure pictures will start flooding in here in the next couple days.

We met some truly awesome people and dogs on this trip. BIG THANK YOU again Teri for organizing this.

So glad I had a chance to make it up for at least one day! And that Bojie got a chance to get some love from all of you, I know the timing of his surgery seems horrible considering it interfered with the get together, but it was so reassuring to know my Newf friends were just a short drive away if we needed anything. He'll be there for sure next year! So glad all of you had so much fun in my new state!

I have to thank everyone also. We had an amazing time. We left before the big gathering, but we still had so much fun. Lola, Sophie and Ty loved the off leash park. They have never been anywhere like that. Lola and Sophie also both enjoyed swimming with all the other Newfs, although I am not sure the other newfs felt the same way. Someone would throw a toy, ball or bumper in the water and Lola would go steal it. Sophie also stole Pae's bumper and ran around playing keep away with the other Newfs.

It was an amazing group of people and some even better dogs :)

Meg, I am so sorry we missed you. We had to leave on Tuesday night and at that point did not know you were going to be able to come. Debra was keeping us updated re: Bojie's progress and we knew he was home...so glad to hear it :)

Thanks again Teri for putting the Estes Park get together...together! We had an amazing time at the dog park, the shelter for lunch the Newf parade through downtown and the old time photo session. We really enjoyed getting to know the group and of course the beautiful Newfs and one honorary Golden Newf.

We picked up Friday's edition of the Estes Park Trail and Gazette newspaper and unfortunately there wasn't a story or pictures from the dog park. I thought the photographer with the red shirt said they would be in Friday's paper.

Did anyone catch the name or employer of the other professional photographer that was shooting pictures?

Once we get home we will post our pictures so everyone can check them out.

Thanks again and it was a pleasure getting to know y'all.

Let's do it again sometime.

There was a guy there on Tuesday that looked like a pro. He was shooting alot of photos of Ty in the shade behind the covered bench, Was that Zamboni's dad?

Hummm I really only remember the photographer in the red shirt on Wednesday. He took a ton of pictures of the Newfs in the water, running around and my daughter Delaney hugging on Sidney for about 2 hours.

We might call the Estes Park Trail Gazette on Monday and ask about the pictures. I could have sworn he told someone he was going to post all of them somewhere.

Your right Mr. King. I just went through Jessica's pictures and I don't believe that is Zamboni's dad.

The older guy in the yellow shirt was with the newspaper I believe.

I have some photos, only a couple dozen or so. Mostly of the drive there and Monday at the dog park. Jack and I took our VW Beetle with 3 Newfs and 3 dachshunds in it.
Keep in mind 2 of our Newfs are puppies although Sophie is almost as big as Lola...
The photos are on Facebook, but anyone should be able to view them. I set the settings so this album is public....
I hope you enjoy them

Hi everyone!!! I'm just waking up and getting my coffee. We got in about 3 this morning and the dogs insisted on breakfast at 6:30....( spoiled brats ). As soon as my eyes get adjusted, I'll start posting pictures. I did get the business card of the guy from the paper....I'll pull it out of the suitcase ASAP. I'm sooo glad everyone had a great time and because of our GTG Picnic, a beautiful 10 year old Newf named Molly found her own family to love and be loved. Congratulations to Molly and her new family!!!! ( I'll let the lucky family make their own anouncement ) :D

We pulled in the driveway at 5:00am this morning, unloaded three road weary newfs and went to bed. Slept til about 9:30 when Miss Pae decided she had waited long enough for breakfast.
Don't feel bad T, I've been up since 9:30 and my eyes still haven't adjusted.
I'm on my way to Picassa to see if any of my shots are post worthy...

We're stopped in Lincoln, NE, about halfway home. The GTG was GREAT and I'll up load some photos when I get somewhere with a better connection. Was great meeting everyone, canine and human. Even my non hardcore Newf family said it was fun. Glad to see everyone got home safely.

Look forward to seeing photos. Counting the days to Traverse City.
