I brought both Phoebe and Rhyani home with me today from lab rescue. They are awesome. These girls are sweet and gentle - wish people could see beyond their age. Kim and Tula....now Phobe and Rhyani too!

O I'm so happy they are with you! Are you planning on keeping them or are you working with rescue to find them new homes?

Currently we're fostering them for Lab. Ret. Rescue of Cinti. We've had no decent applications on them, I believe due to their age and their needing to be adopted together. I've been spending a good deal of time with them over the last few weeks....but we broke down today and brought them home:) Spread the word - such sweet and gentle girls. They both need to lose some weight and have beauty treatments! I now have 7 dogs under my roof - 3 newfs, i berner, i golden, 1 lab and 1 very bossy 5 lb. poodle !!! Once I read the sticky thread on photos - I'll post some pictures.

I'm SOOO glad to see you have these girls! Its good to know they are in someones home in loving hands. No comment on the 'foster failure' as its been known to happen! haha

We'll keep our eyes open for someone willing to adopt two together!

We are in WUV with them:) Purchased new girlie collars for them today and threw old ones away...shedding their pasts. We had thyroid blood work done on both this afternoon. I am SURE Rhayni has low thryoid - but will await lab results. They have each lost 2 lbs:) Asleep, snoring of course, at my feet - such awesome girls!

So sweet! Nice to know they are in a good foster home. And LOL @ the bossy 5 lb poodle - ain't it always the way?

Good luck and I hope you get a perfect application on them!

As a former foster failure I can tell you first hand that the seniors are absolute angels. It's good to see these girls in a home. Thank you!

Cinti newf sisters update. Both girls are doing great. We've had lots of snow and they , of course, love it! Both girls had blood work done Monday. No surprise that Rhayni has low thyroid. I believe with thyroid meds, proper nutrition, fish oils and reasonable exercise - she will be a stunner within a few months. For some stupid reason they were shaved down when kenneled following the family death. I love brushing them and their coats look better each day. They were quite happy to return home following blood work - think they thought they were being left again:( These girls are by far the easiest dogs I've ever fostered! I look forward to each day with them. Read about the self cleaning brush in grooming post and may look into that @ Walmart. Too busy to figure out how to post pictures - but we've got some great ones:)

I saw them both on petfinder the other day. I wish I could take both.
The best I could do is take one and my mother take the other. She lives less than a mile away and would be my doggy day care when the time comes. She is also looking to adopt a newf.
