, but I can guarantee I'll hoist a bottle :beer: (or several) in your honour!I live in Kingston. Gan is a 15 minute drive. Is there an area that dogs can be off leash at these events? Really want to come and bring Comet, but worried about him
being a meat head while trying to greet and play with every Newf we encounter.
(Thinking I can tire him out at the dog park first?)

There isn't really an area where the Newfs are offleash. Newfs that are not participating in the show are not allowed in the exhibition area unless you register and pay for "exhibition only". It is a great time to get the chance to see some wonderful newfs though!

Tiika is in Open A Obedience and Judi's Splash is in Novice on Friday morning and Splash is in Draft on Friday afternoon. Now Tiika has her Canadian DD and Splash has her American DD. We're hoping Splash finishes in Gan so they'll each have a DD in the same country and we can then do Brace with them! Both of them are in Altered on Sunday and Tiika is also in Working Dog Class. Come and cheer us on if you can!

Got our info for Nationals today! There's a correction Match for Pre-Novices to Utility at 6pm on Thursday evening (May 26th). Anyone can participate for $10.00. You don't have to be entered in the obedience or conformation at the Specialty. Obedience starts at 0930 on Friday - one pre-novice, 6 novice, and 2 open. Please come and cheer everyone on if you can! There are four dogs in draft on Friday afternoon at 2pm.
On Saturday there's Conformation. The Puppy Sweeps are at 0900 with 6 males and 14 females, followed by the Veterans with 3 males and 3 females. The regular classes start at 1030 - 20 males, 29 females, 10 male Specials, 5 female Specials, 5 Exhibition only dogs, 2 Stud dogs, 6 for Parade of Champions, and 3 for Parade of Veterans. Total of 69 Newfs with 106 entries.
The Sunday show has 73 Newfs with 102 entries - the difference is likely the addition of the Sexually Altered Dogs - yeeeaaahhh pet Newfs! There are 3 Males and 5 Females entered. Tiika and Splash will have competition! :groovy:

A little late in posting as the specialty in only a few days away!!
Luna and i will be there on Thursday afternoon - we are hosting the Obedience Correction/Fun Match!
We are entered in Open on Friday (we need our title!!!) and then we are entered in the Altered and Working classes on Sunday! I am excited about that - i have never been in the conformation ring before!
