Calling all Kloofbears

Hello...I am working on a present to give to my breeder, Evelyn de Reus, who is the owner of Kloofbear Newfoundlands. I am collecting pics of any Kloofbear Newfs to put in a book to give her for her birthday in May. So, if your dog is a Kloofbear, or you know one that is...can you please PM me with a pic of your pooch? I would like a pic of the Newf as a pup, current pic and even one with you if you like. If you are a Kloofbear and you are interested, please provide me with the following:
Dog's call name
Dog's registered name
Dog's Birthdate
Dog's parents names
Any titles or accomplishments you would like me to list
Your name
Your town & state
And a sentence or two or three to say something about your dog...maybe a favorite thing they like to do, or how they have enriched your life, etc.
You certainly don't need to answer all of the questions, but I think the more you can provide, the more it will mean to her.

Oh my gosh, I've always wanted a Kloofbear!!! Her dogs are INCREDIBLE! She had a litter when Elwood's litter was born and our breeder never sent photos so I would watch her crew's growth progress. Imagine my surprise when my pooch was a tiny little 8.5 lb wonder at 8 weeks - I thought I was getting an actual 35 lb bear cub!!!! Not to malign my adorable puff ball, of course!

Sophie's grand sire (is that a real term? ) is the same as Pooka's sire. I was looking up dogs in her ped and came across a "past puppies" page and saw a photo of you and puppy Pooka. It was adorable!

Yes Nessa, that is the photo I saw. I was looking at CH Seal Cove's Espen til Kloofbear's page and came across that photo and thought...Hmmm, that half a face with the other half covered by Newf fur looks familar. Then I read the caption under the photo

I'm like the Phantom of the Opera. You can't see the other half of my face. It's hideously disfigured. I have to cover it at all times. With a newf.

Listen everyone...I am not trying to start some type of controversy here...but can we just focus on my goal to reach out to people who have a dog that comes from a particular kennel...I am not looking to endorse a particular kennel by this project. I am looking to create a thank you gift for a person who has given a lot to me and provided the same support for many others. There are hundreds...thousands of great people, breeders, owners, rescue volunteers, handlers, judges...who have done tremendous work to support the breed...I am sure that for everyone of them, there are people who think they are great and others with a different opinion. I am not trying to promote a breeder...I am trying to make a birthday gift. There are tons of posts where people compliment each others dog...take a look at the posts in the photo section alone...could they not each be a promotion for that dog and its heritage?

Jeanne...if you think this thread is going to violate the rules, shut it down. I trust you will know the right thing to do. And if any of you have difficulty contacting me with your info because you can't find me on this site, feel free to send your information to my email: mbylone@gmail.com You can say anything you want about any breeder in a private email to me with no censorship.
