Blue Buffalo

I am in the process of researching a new kibble for our dogs. Three of my guys suffer from allergies and I haven't been happy lately with the food we have been feeding them.

I saw Blue Buffalo has a Fish and Sweet Potato Formula and am interested in giving it a try. With all the changes recently to many of the foods, I am hoping to choose the best one for my crew. I would prefer to feed them a fish based kibble. I have one that is sensitive to Chicken and another that is sensitive to Lamb. I would like to find one food that hopefully all can eat.

If anyone uses this product, I would really appreciate your thoughts about the food and your experiences with it.

We feed a version of it to the inside cats, so that if the dogs eat it (mainly Lucy) she won't react.

Haven't seen the Blue Buffalo for dogs in sweet potato and fish, might try it if we can find it. No experience with it, sorry.

The food we've been using for the newfs is Natural Balance sweet potato and fish, have you checked that one out?

We also feed the Sweet Potato and fish by Natural Balance. Our dogs seem to love it and they have no more problems with gas or loose stools. Also, We sometimes add some green tripe to their kibble. Stinks BAD, But they love it and it's good for them.

My mom feeds Blue Buffalo (not sure which kind) to her two little dogs. They both seem to be doing well on it.

I have a small amount of experience with Blue Buffalo. I feed the canned as a supplement. They like it. I did buy a bag of the Kibble. I thought the kibble is expensive (possibly because Pet Smart keeps the price inflated since it's clearly the best food in the store. I paid more for it than a comparitable bag of Canidae. I had a several dollar off coupon so I tried mixing it with the Canidae.

So I guess that's not much help.:shuffle:

The orijen fish is great. Not quite as expensive, and not quite as good is Timberwolf fish. Timberwolf has some other flavors you might be interested in.

Timberwolf has recently gone through some issues, and a voluntary recall on a few of their products. This info directly from the owner and posted on their site. http://timberwolforganics.com/News-and-Events They also have changed processing plants in the last year. They used to use Diamond for processing and packing, now use Chenango Valley Pet, one of the companies behind many of the recalls. I would not trust that Timberwolf is the same product that it used to be. JMO

Mike you might want to take a look at the following website. It really has some solid information that will help you in your research. Not just what people review or offer of their opinions, but how to look at the ingredients and know what your looking for.
