You may be more 'numb' now and quite not ready to grieve. That's understandable....But then again, everyone handles 'loss' differently.

Hugs to you though...So sorry you've had to deal with so much loss this year! : (

I'm sorry for your losses :( Each person grieves differently. Personally, it takes me a long time to cry over the loss of a loved one, and when I do, it is normally in private. My mom is very different and worries about me suppressing my feelings. I don't suppress anything, I just grieve differently than she does. For me it is a longer and and more private process than it is for her.

So, feel what you feel when you feel it and don't worry about when or how the feelings come. And remember that we are all here remotely if you think venting will help...we're here for ya.

I agree, everyone grieves differently, and there is no wrong way as long as you don't stuff it down. Take care, and I'm very sorry for all the loss you've had.

I understand how you feel. I lost a brother, a dog, my mom & dad, my husband, my MIL and FIL all in one decade about a year apart. I also quickly became numb and cried very little. Not crying is not a sin or a sign of anything. Try to focus on the wonderful times you had together and just know that letting your pets go was an act of kindness and courage.

Hugs and blessings. So sorry for your losses.

So sorry for all the losses you have had. As everyone says everyone grieves differently. I personally cry over everything, even when a foster dog goes to a new home it takes a piece of me. Take care of yourself.

Jen.. so happy you returned to NN.. many of us have been worried... and wondered what had become of you... with no contact information.. 2011 has been a cruel year for my family.. unbearably so.. but you need to be able to reach out when things become so painful.. like I try to do... there is always someone here... you don't have to be alone... remember that...

Like Jen said, we have wondered about you more than once but no one knew another way to reach you. I am sorry things have been so sad, it is hard for sure. Almost all of us have been through something similar at one time or another so please talk to us if you need to.

Jen, I am so glad you are back. Yes, reach out and share. It really helps. I totally agree with the others. Grief is a process, not an event, and everyone's process is uniquely their own. So very glad to hear from you and sorry for your losses.
