Apache 05-21-2004 to 02-08-2016

I am sorry to report Karen's (luvxl k 9) Apache went to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. Many old times here may remember he was not suppose to make it past his first birthday due to his Forelimb Anomaly without multiple surgeries. Well he never had surgery other than neutering and lived to be 11 years and 8+ months, and it was his losing the ability to stand with his rear legs that is why he went to the Bridge today.

Many here also know Apache was Snuffles closest relative we knew and saw on a regular basis. Apache had stayed with us several times. Sunday before yesterday, I had learned Apache was having a very difficult time. Though we use to visit a lot, since Snuffles blew his knee, we got there for about 30 minutes last summer, and Apache spent a week+ with us last winter just about this time of year. Anyway a short 4 days ago, I borrowed my friend's van to make the trip because I figured it would be the last time Snuffles and Apache would see each other. So glad I did. I did this link on Facebook for some pictures of last Thursday plus a couple of others. It is a public link, so anyone can see it, even non Facebook folks. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...564.1073741873.1563363416&type=1&l=12f159f3f9

RIP Apache!

Apache was an inspiration to many owners whose dogs had Forelimb Anomaly. Karen was so dedicated to find the best possible care for him and it shows with him living to be so old. Godspeed Apache.

Bye, bye Apache old friend. Your half sis, Piper, is waiting to take you safely across the bridge to a place where you can run free. I know Karen will miss you terribly.

I remember Apache very well. My heart goes out to Karen and her family. Godspeed sweet Apache (((hugs))). I loved following Karen's stories about Appache as well as his visits to your house. I know you and Snuffles will miss him dearly.

Missing you and Snuffles terribly today. Their last visit together the Thursday before Apache went to the Bridge. Snuffles joining Apache about 3 weeks later at the Bridge.
