I go to OC atleast twice a year for a weekend getaway, and unless you time the ferry perfect, its not neccesarily quicker. You are a bit closer to Cape May than me, But Cape May for me is 2 Hrs and the ferry ride with a very short drive from DE to MD is about 2hrs. Its a nice trip but just not quicker, especially if you have to wait around for the next ferry :)

Yes, we took the ferry from OC to Cape May. We love taking the ferry, but the newfs have to stay in the car and can't go up to the lounge areas. They didn't throw up in my truck, so I'm guessing they slept through it all. I'd have preferred them in the lounge with me.

Last year we sat in the lounge at a table where a guy with a cowboy hat was sitting. We chatted through the ride, he was very friendly. Later, in Cape May we were pulling into a place for breakfast when this big red pickup truck starts honking and waving. We pulled up along side, and it was our new friend, just leaving the restaurant. He said, "Tell 'em Tex said to treat you well!" lol, he eats there every morning! So we had a fun time on the ferry, but I don't know if it's faster since we stayed over night in Cape May.

I don't think it's faster, from what I understand it's about the same time, but what I read was you could have your dogs out and about, they just were not aloud where there was any food. Did I read that wrong? I figure they'd love the wind in their hair and the smell of salt water. (thinking like a scene from a movie-lol)

I'm supposed to be graduating from my grooming classes the last weekend in October....I may either have to cancel or fly up for a few days. Trying to figure it out!

Oh...and here's a notification for anyone interested in coming: ROOM 304 is available. It's a 3rd Floor 2 bedroom. There's been some room manipulating going on, so for anyone who's been waiting for a family sized dog friendly room...here ya go!!

Donna, you can officially remove us from the list now. Sorry all! Chris and I won't be able to attend this year. We're moving to northern Indiana (from Central Virginia)!

Well then I'm guessing someone (Rachel) might get an extra Newf if he won't go up, cause Zeke gave me a problem going up the stairs, when we tried. Myra was no issue, go figure!

:groovy: I am looking forward to hanging with Zeke. I would consider switching with you, but I may have Haley and Izzy and trying to get both of them upstairs could get ugly.
