A Gift

When I walked out the front door this morning, there was a package at my feet. I darn near tripped over it. :tongue: Since I was pressed for time, I had to wait to open the package until I got home this evening. I couldn't believe it when I opened the gift. Something so beautiful and such a wonderful gesture of love and friendship, I am speechless, and that doesn't happen often, lol.

No return name on the gift, but I have feeling that this gorgeous throw is from Erika. None of my friends have ever seen this photo of Nellie, but I did post it on Newf Net. ;) Erika - you made me cry happy tears today! :hugs:

How do you photograph something so gorgeous and do it justice? I tried laying it over my sofa - that did not work. Took it out on the sun porch and laid it over my wicker rocker - nope!

I took it out in my rose garden - yeah, that was just right. I sound like little Red Riding Hood. :D

when I lost my Glory and Garrett in one year, Paula was there to comfort and support me threw it all. Threw the yrs she has become someone very precious to my heart.When my dear beloved Piggyluv left us Paula was there again full force. Others gave me great supprot too but Paula always offered the wisdom and love and kindness at the times when I just needed it real bad. When Nellie past I was at a loss what to do.My heart ached for Paula and John, our hearts ached together having only been a short time that piggyluv left us. This is only a small token of my love and appreciation to a woman who is strong,who reaches out to all who need her and a woman who truly loves dogs.Thank you Paula for being you.............Oh and yes she loves the Pyrs.LOL!!! If the world had more women like Garden girl it would be such a happy place. HUGS!!!!!! Paula!!!!!!!

Please, I don't want to make this about me. I remember Donna posted awhile back about the differences between Facebook and Newf Net. While you can have many acquaintances on FB, you don't really get to build those lifelong friendships like you can on Newf Net, you just have to reach out.

You two ladies are so humble (I never even knew you had a blog, Jennifer), so kind and thoughtful and I treasure your friendship. Without NN, and without our Newfs, we would never know each other. I am so grateful for all of the friends I have made on Newf Net, I hope to meet each and every one of my friends some day.

Our lives are so enriched, because we loved a Newf.

Now that just made my Friday.....How wonderful both of you are. I haven't been in here very long but I have to say it's a Newf kinship! The dogs are very special and so are the people that are owned by them!

By the way that is a very beautiful picture and I would say it also made a beautiful gift.
