First let me tell you that I am not a cat person...but I am an animal lover.
So there is this cat, we call "fluffy" She hangs around my house and I feed her on the porch every night..she has adopted us,,awww,,
Well tonight, I went outside in the front yard (I have a fence around my front yard) and I was outside of the fence in the sidewalk looking at my flowers...and my neighbors mean German Shephard (Rocky) got out of his front yard..and his owner was yelling "Rocky Come"!! But he was running right for me....YIKES!!!! Just as I thought he was going to attack me...Fluffy ran right in between us and swipped her paw at him and ran across the street and he followed her..but she found a safe place...whew!! I think this kitty saved me from getting bit by Rocky!
I Love Fluffy!! :) Thanks baby girl...

Aww. Isn't it funny how they adopt people. I had a cat adopt us in our old apartment complex. When his "real" owners moved, I was so sad. They called a few weeks later and asked us if we wanted him. He moved in and never looked back. When our house was finished, he came with us. Sadly, two years in, he disapeared and never came back. I think a racoon or a coyote got him :(

Looks like Fluffy has a new home! :)

P.S. I was never a cat person either :whistling:

Of course that kitty saved you, because you saved her! They are certainly different from dogs, but the place in your heart where they rest is still as warm.

That's incredible. Way to go Fluffy!

My cat growing up was named Fluffy...my Fluffy Cat...long haired white with two different color eyes. Rescued out of a basement apt after owner committed suicide and my bil heard her crying in there for days. He broke a window and got her out. I had her all of my teen years. I remember that first night she ate two whole hamburgers I gave her...I believe I was only 12.

Hero Cat!!!! It certainly can happen. When we moved into our first house DH and I were "adopted" by an abandoned ferral Siamese. The entire neighborhood was afraid of him. We called him Snagglepuss (remember the cartoon) as he had obviously been in many fights. No one could touch him, but he took up residence in our garage, and I began to feed him Tender Vittles (no less). He chased away everything that came near our house (squirrel, cat, all dogs except ours) for a couple of years. Finally let me pet him. One day he was obviously sick, yowling like a cougar. I put him in a cardboard box and we ran to my vet's. Distemper. Bad. They put him down. I never will forget him. Fluffy is a blessing. Way to go Fluffy.

********See Dogs of War Thread********

Obviously a ploy so you would trust the Kat CCO
and take it into your Home. Now the CCO can spy with impunity
on Newf Plans for the Wars against Evil CCO's.

(Sorry, couldn't resist - I don't like Cats either)

I believe all animals, even insects, can reason. The limits to that reasoning are probably strictly dictated by their instincts and capabilities, but, yes...

I've seen my cats reasoning WAY too many times not to believe it! And Tug? He knows exactly what he's doing, and thinks it through
