Yogi broke out of the house

Let me set the stage.... Emma and I are driving into the driveway, as we wait for the garage door to open, I see Yogi sitting on the front porch. We pull in, get out of the car and just as Emma is about to open the door that goes into the kitchen, I say " wait, Yogi is in there". but hang on, he's NOT in there, I just saw him on the porch. (apparently I suffered a minor brain fart when I first saw him)

Oh well, Hubby must have come home and put him on the porch. Not so.
Yogi who HAD been left in the kitchen - secured by 3 foot plywood boards had scaled over one of them, and then proceeded to knock out the window screen and climb up and out the window, onto the bench which sits directly under the window, and then onto the porch. :shocker:

HA -- old age my big butt!!! for him to do the equivalent of rock wall climbing while barely being able to walk a straight line under normal circumstances, I think he may be trying to pull the proverbial Newf-Wool Cap over my eyes...

I am thankful he was safe at home and had not wandered off to get lost in the woods or the pond across the road.
Emma is quite sure that , and I quote " he must have had to go poop really bad"

I guess he is old enough to let himself out. Glad he stayed on home turf. Maybe close the windows next time you go out.

Yup... Maple's the same way. We worry at how she's slowed down walking around the block then she's spry enough to jump on the counter to get the brand new book I'd just gotten to read that weekend!
