(WOOF) It's my 3rd BOOFDAY!

LuLu was such a good girl today, she was the official greeter at the lobby this morning. Her tail was going like a metronome as she hustled out of my office to say her hello's.
Everyone made a big fuss over her and she just ate it up. Unfortunately, her Mom forgot to charge the camera batteries so celebration photos taken by the staff have been promised.
She visited everyone, including some 'special' friends. Officer Bob took her for a walk outside with me. We had to borrow a jacket for Bob. He hasn't been outdoors since October, this was a real treat for him. Here's Bob, a retired K-9 cop resting after our walk. She was wearing a Boofday tiara, the nice lady whose hand is the blur in the photo took it off to her immense relief.
Ernie let her wear his Patriots scarf to visit his buddy, John, who was celebrating his 93rd Birthday today. John was beside himself to see a big fuzzy bear with a scarf and a tiara. John is a Newfoundlander, he was in tears... it TOTALLY made his day!
Lu also stopped by to see Eileen, who was sitting up in her wheelchair. She snuggled her big old head right onto Eileen's lap, left a little Newfie "calling card" (drool) and got a big laugh form her new(f) friend.
If you don't do therapy work with your Newf, you are missing one of life's most rewarding experiences. They are so empathetic and compassionate. Just their size, their massive coats and soft teddy-bear faces bring even the most apathetic people out of their shells. It's got to be one of the most joyful experiences for a dog owner.
