Faith, Meg said it all. I'm still crying every time I think of Wookie Bear and your family. Your poor boys. You had been through so much already and you were so brave to open up again and bring him home; to lose him so young is just beyond words. These dogs are so bright a light, and their lives are so short - even when they live the full length of their lives - that the loss of them will always be a heart-breaking shock. But Wookie didn't have long enough. Not even close. It's awful.

We're too far away for it to mean much but we're all here for you, and if there's anything we can do please let us know. And don't give up on having a Newf - you gave Wookie a wonderful, enriched, loving home for his entire life and that's a gift that lots of dogs never get.
