Ha! You have been out of it!
You will be very happy to know that Jack is starting to like Macy...not just tolerate her. A couple days ago they were chewing on the same toy and he has started to initiate play with her. Though, it is actually a little funny...outside, Macy was always chasing Jack, biting his legs, butt and tail. He would growl and bark at her, but that was about it. Well after weeks of this, he finally turned around, put her on the ground and bit her butt. It wasn't hard, but it was firm. She of course raised a fuss, squealling and running over to daddy. This fixed it though..she no longer tries to bite at him. But now, when he tries to initiate play (by tapping her on the nose with his snout and then barking), she backs away. Figures! He puts her in her place and now feels confident to initiate play, and she doesn't know how to read him.
It has been a lot of fun with the two of them. We solved the separation anxiety issue with Macy. Whenever we leave, we just make sure Macy is in the same room as Jack and she is fine. She really loves her big brother and big brother is starting to come around!
