Hi all,

I spoke with Laura today - my ex for those of you that dont know - and she recently spoke to our breeder. She is keeping Indy. I am very thankful for that. She said the he didnt do well in the kennel with the other dogs so he stays in the house with them and Indy's mom. She said that we had done a very good job training him and that she is going to get his obed certs. She also said that she is going to show him and finish him. (Indys brother is finished) His health is good and very well behaved and happy.

We are thankful that he is in good hands.

Thanks for listening.
Jim

Murphy - Thanks. It didnt take long to know that I made the right decision about my marriage and Indy.

Ina - Thanks so much. Let me say that your new picture is great. Obviously a natural beauty! Much better than you former picture. Great shot.

AC - I miss our emails. Maybe one of these days we can grab a beer - in your neck of the woods! How have you been?

Hey Jim,

I'm glad Indy is in good hands and doing well. I'm sure that's a great relief for you. I'm glad you are getting through the tough times. Things are certain to start looking up for you. That's the one good thing about hitting rock bottom... There's only one direction for you to go! And that's up!

You take care and keep in touch.

I'm so glad you checked in Jim. Been wondering about you and Indy. Knowing your breeder, I know he's in good hands and will live out his days loved and happy. Don't be a stranger. Would love for you to check more often, as well as a few of the other MIA crowd.

Wow. Thank you all.... such a great group of people. To who ever said they know my breeder, you are right - he is in the best hands possible and for that I am very thankful. I would love to tell you all about wha has happened in my life over the last 8 months but this is a public forum and while I am willing to share, I'm not willing to share it with the whole world!

Let's just say that I certainly made the right decision. Laura has come to that conclusion too. She and I are very happy apart and I think we have come to a point where we can be good, if not best friends again. After all, we were best friends that got married and I think that was part of the problem in the first place. It just took 25 years to realize that. For the most part the kids have adapted very well to the changes that have come. Currently I am living with my sister because I can not afford a place of my own just yet. My sister is a saint and she has done so much for me. I just turned 50 and while in many respects that sucks to be in this place at this point in life, I embrace it knowing that it is the right place to be for now.

We both love Indy so so much but in these tough times, you have to do the tough things for the best of others including him. Like any loss, we both miss him dearly. But we know that he is close to us geographically and will always be in our hearts. But one of the best things about him was..... all of you. Without Indy we would have never been here on NN and for that I am very thankful.

Even with it's hardships over the last year, life for me has been good. On the surface, in many ways it has not been ideal but deep down I am coming to know who I am again and that is priceless. Laura too. Both of us have new love interests and we have been able to discuss our new relationships as friends and it is refreshing to be back where we started - good friends who can talk, advise, and care about each other. Not bad considering that a lot of divorces end and remain very bitter. At least we have avoided that.

By the way, my girl friends dog weighs 5lbs! Cute as a button too. From one extreme to another! I guess thats how my life is. LOL

AC - I will make it up to see you one day! Just keep in mind that if I can afford to get there, you are buying at the pub! - All Night!!!!!
