Spring cleaning!

A couple of years ago I got my first shears (thinning and curved) in an effort to start grooming Miss M myself. I mastered feet and ears pretty quickly, but in the absence of a grooming table (and in the presence of a recalcitrant brattypants), wasn't able to *really* dedicate myself to learning the rest of the job. For my 31st birthday last month, I treated myself to a grooming table setup and HOLY GUACAMOLE why didn't I buy one sooner??!?!?!

Anyhow, this past weekend I gave her a thorough scrubbing, drying and shaping and I'm pretty excited at the results! (granted, I still haven't quite figured out how to do feathering/furnishings...but that's next on the agenda. I also didn't do her ears before I took these photos, so they're a bit shaggy still in these shots)

Quite the difference between the "before" and "after" pictures. The use of a grooming table certainly works wonders. I built a grooming table out in the garage and use it regularly with Timber.

Getting used to being a woman running with scissors...huh? By the way both Miss Fattypants and Rowan look great ;)
