Careless owners, basically. He was horribly abused by the neighbors - beated, shot with a BB gun, and attacked by their pitbull. He stayed the night with us on his way to NY and just broke my heart. He had a bad skin infection and horrible ears. He may be the sweetest thing I've ever met and I just love seeing how far he's come in such a short time. Being with Jane's family is definitely a match made in heaven!!

he looks like a total doll, and I'm so happy he is with a such an amazing family now. I was looking at the original thread earlier since Kristen posted it....he looks a lot like my Rio did when he came back this past fall, just far younger. You will be amazed what a few months of TLC will do for him, and I can't wait to see the photo's....Rio is still working through some stuff, but he is sooooooooo much better than he was 7 months ago.
