We used booties for Dexter as he was 13 and he couldn't get up once he was down. The booties worked great but the down side is their feet get hot in them so you have to make sure you take them off and let their feet breathe so they don't get infected...so, if you can take them off when they go outside and just keep them on in the house you should be ok...it is a pain to put them on and off though. What we do for our guys is amazing!!

We also bought the ultra paws. And yes! Life changing for our big boy that has had 2 TPLO surgeries, bad knees and spinal issues.

I'm going to be buying these for Sydney, my Aussie mix. She's 12 and has problems getting up a lot of times too. I'll let you know how they work.
