There has not been a 2nd poop. Yet. OF course he is only eating rice and hamburger so maybe he has not a lot to poop out. I fasted him for 24 hours!

I appreciate the suggestions for pumpkin but he cannot eat it. Really makes him have bad diarrhea.

Not much better. He has been taking 4 metronidazole and 2 tablets of a special probotic since Thursday. The first day I noticed it was a bit thicker. Not water like before. Still the same as it was on Friday. At least he is not having uncontrolled diarrhea and it does not stink as bad. Going to call Vet in the morning. I have not been giving him any other meds - not his ammoxicillin or anything. I'm worried he is going to be pneumonia again. Just keeping a close watch.

Not sure how much Adam weighs, but the first vet to put Snuffles (ours was off that day) put him on 2 metronidazole. Then when our regular Vet wanted to put Snuffles on metronidazole I think 3 or 4, I thought things got worse, so I went back to 2. So ever since when I use metronidazole (I keep it on hand) I only do 2 a day, and things improve quickly. Snuffles was in the 145 pound range then.

Improvement! Brown poop that looks like poop but soft to pick up. Almost perfectly normal for Adam. He never has hard poop! I cannot believe I am rejoicing over poop! But I am and I know all of you understand.

Good to read things are headed to good.

We here do it all the time, especially after a bout of diarrhea. Karen the kinfolk owner always called me the "poop expert" because I judged how things were going by how and how much comes out. I am a sic individual. :icon_lamer:

Adam has regressed. He is now taking Ciprofloxacin along with the metronidazole and probotic. If he is not better by Monday he will be taken in. This could be a tumor. Please pray. I wanted to explore every avenue before taking him in. Car rides are too stressful for him at his age.

Angela, It is so sad. He use to love car rides. In fact he still does but they are just too much for him. It takes 2 people to get him in. He cannot get comfortable. So I just don't take him unless I have to.

I've been checking in silently. I'm sorry to hear he's not improving. I sincerely hope the meds help and he's better ASAP!

Any chance your vet will do a home visit for him if necessary?
