Please spare a thought for White. It's time

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while but White's mobility has been steadily dropping. So ummm... :shuffle:Last night he reached the point that his back legs are so weak that his front legs, which are also weakening, can no longer compensate. :cussing2: :grrr: Life has become a series of step-step-crumple. It's clear that he's tired, confused and scared.

I called our vet and we have an appointment this afternoon so between 2:30 and 3 this afternoon please spare a thought for White. Barring some sort of miraculous insight from the vet, White will be crossing the bridge to be reunited with his brother, Black.

Oh Jeff. I'm actually in tears reading this. I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know how much White has meant to you, especially after losing Black, but I can only hope to imagine how happy they will be once they're reunited at the Bridge. I have no doubt Black with be waiting right there to greet his brother for a long awaited romp!

I am so sorry to hear this. Having landseer littermates as well black and white were always special to me and hearing this breaks my heart. My thoughts are with you and the thought of them being reunited at the bridge brings a smile to my face.

This is one of the most loving things you can do as well as one of the very hardest. Over the past 39 years I have had to face this many times and it never gets any easier. However the wonderfulness of having Newfs in my life has enabled me to continue on. Prayers and good thoughts going out to you and White.

I am so sorry to read this. It is such a hard thing to do but you do know when its time. These dogs are so special and they do not live long enough. I am certainly thinking of you and White.
