Not my video and not a entry, but the subject is great. Too bad Snuffles is too good and doesn't surf. :)

When I was first around my friends' Bassets, I was amazed at how well they surfed. Tank is a master at this. He will hop and has what my friend calls a lizard tongue and gets stuff set pretty far back. He is also a opportunist. Just this past week, he was acting a sleep, and as soon as no one was in the kitchen he got some butter. We got invited over this past Friday for dinner. The salad was shy a few tomatoes. :) Anyway, last Sept, my friend had a dinner party to introduce her new puppy Pippa. As we were sitting at the dinning room table, Tank started surfing. A mutual friend got her phone out and started the video. That is his Momma in there with him, and she did not correct him like a good Momma should.

Likewise but when the 2 'grand dogs', Golden Retrievers, are visiting the counters have to be clear of food or it will disappear :nono:

I dont let my dogs in the kitchen and I never leave food on the counter. But I have come out and had to remove a trash can lid (which is in the kitchen) from Busa head. I was not amused I had to vacuum up coffee grounds he drug all the way down the hall! Now I laugh.

Same here. Buddy, the beagle, will sit and howl at whatever it is that he wants on the counter hoping it will jump down to him. It's either we listen to Buddy howl or we put everything away. I'll give you 1 guess what we choose to do. :)

No Counter surfers there?!?! Orca is 15 weeks tomorrow and he's already put his paws on top of the stove, on top of tables, basically on top of anything taller than he is. He hasn't gotten to the counter yet, but I fear it's just a matter of time!

Only occasional surfing here. More vacuuming when we are cooking. The danes are better at it as their head is already above counter height. Heck, the top of the fridge is fair game if they stand up!
