Show me your favorite photo and tell me why you like it. This should be easy and lots of interesting entries.

Great topic! Can it be of OTHER peoples' dogs?? :)
I don't care if it is other people's dogs, landscape, cars, sunrise/set...it can be anything as long it is a favorite of yours. I do believe, according to the rules, you have to have taken the photo for it to be in the contest.

Gosh, I have so many, but though this picture isn't great quality wise, it is one of my favorites. This is our daughter Natalie who was adopted from Guatemala. It was a long 18 month process and in the midst of her adoption Guatemala permanently shut down international adoptions. It took another 2 months before we found out she was grandfathered and her adoption could be completed. We visited her monthly throughout the process.

The pic is special because it was taken the second our USAir flight landed in Charlotte and automatically made her a US Citizen. It was the first time I think I took a breath in a year and a half that it was all real and permanent. She is 7 months in the pic and is now 5.

This picture means so much to me... It was the last picture we took of Jager on "his" boat before he passed just 5 days later. He looks so peaceful...

The original rules were that each person had to take their own photos. But then this was started to be a learning thing. It has changed so much I really doubt if it matters. Just show me a picture.

Remember only 2 photos per person.

Ok, here are my entries. The first is of my two girl loves: my daughter and my female Chihuahua. I'm surrounded by boys otherwise (sons, hubby, dogs) so these are my beauties and they look such in tune with one another, enjoying the sun and each other that I adore this shot:

And, in a completely different vein, here is a photo of the ruins of the city of Pompeii, with Mount Vesuvius in the background. My husband and I visited there last year, a couple weeks after he had a mini-stroke, and we were both a bit worried about his health and completely enthralled with Italy and, particularly, Pompeii. (He is now fine).

OK I have two:

This I love even though it was taken with a Camera Phone. This just shows what these guys will do for stupid Hoomans. Ricky was taking a FLEX Class. The dogs are supposed to get confidence doing things they normally would not do, and at the same time build up under used muscles.

I love this photo of Tigger. This was her first time doing Formal Water work last year. Love the sharpness, the wet coat, and the look on her face.

I could never pick a favorite but I've chosen a couple to share. This is my first attempt a a portrait and of course it's my granddaughter.

This second on is a ordinary pigeon but I just love the simpleness and color from a bird most people treat as a pest and don't see the beauty in it.
Sorry I think this is a Morning Dove. Ha hahaha I still like it. I sure don't know my Flowers or Birds your all supposed to help me out. LOL

I caught them! They DO love eachother!

my kids a couple of years ago. I pull out this picture when they are being super horrible to each other. I'm never sure when I do if I'm reminding them or me that it is in fact in the realm of possibility that they get along...

I was trying to fix my smiley and I ended up double posting, so I'll change the second post to this pic.

I cannot explain in words how much my daughter loves this cat. If she could live in a world where there was nothing but Baggin's she would be a very happy camper. Everything revolves around this cat. She had just returned home from a 2 week stint in the hospital and she got to see her kitty cat again - this picture sums it all up!=-)) (see my lovely eaten couch?....yeah)

I took this of my husband the day we got engaged. I just love that he got photobombed by a whale.

.

And then this was during our honeymoon. He picked a day of golf.......

......and I picked a falconry lesson (non-entry but one of my favorites from the trip)

Great photos!!!

Maggie, where did you honeymoon? Just wondering if it was Scotland (since they are often credited with inventing golf ... and there is a castle in the beautiful photo ... and that's where we honeymooned). :)

Close - we were in Ireland! We spent some time at a B&B in Doolin, then at a hotel in Galway, and ended it with four days at Ashford Castle which is where those pictures were taken.

This is Bryquette and I on our first nursing home visit as a certified therapy team. Very rewarding to bring a few moments of joy to others.

There's NO WAY I could select even 200 of my favorite photos, let alone 2...so here's one that I like enough to submit!

Rowan dressed as an Ewok for this past Halloween (I was so proud of myself for this costume!):

This pic, because it's hilarious and perfectly captures these two and their lovely, weird little relationship. Awesome bedhead on these two:

And this isn't an entry, but I thought it's pretty neat-o:

A storm rolling toward us. Looks rather ominous, no?
