One of my three Newfs is missing a gene or two

I own a Newfoundland dog that is missing a gene or two. Noah is the biggest of my three, has the thickest and warmest and most glorious double coat to potentially allow him to brave the frigid Atlantic waters. However, the lad does NOT want to go outside and play in the snow. He's the biggest weenie Newfie I ever saw! He thinks he'd parish in the cold and prefers to snuggle with the cats indoors! jeeeeez louise!

Meanwhile, my darling petite Paige is laying on the deck on a frozen patch of ice to cool her belly. And Gabe is out barking his head off and plowing through the snowdrifts whilst watching the construction trucks work. Not Noah, though. Oh nooooo...he's inside. He puts the breaks on when I try to shew him outside to play!

Well, Noah is just a silly woosy-boy. Or maybe he feels someone has to stay in to be sure no one steals you while he's out gallivanting around. I bet if you tossed a few marinated tenderloin tips into the white stuff he'd hustle right out.

Hehe, yep something wrong for sure. Most of the snow is gone here, but less than a hour ago, one of my neighbors was out when we were coming home from our mid day walk, and it was 2 to 3 miles today. At the edge of their drive was a narrow patch of snow. I stopped to talk, and guess who laid down on it all sprawl out?

My Gabriel is the same way....While the girls were out romping and running in the recent small bit of snow we had, Gabriel was standing with his nose pressed against the sliding door making his "pitiful face."
"It's cold, it's damp, the sun is glaring in my eyes, my fur's getting wet, it's windy, my paws are cold, etc., etc., etc."

Perhaps the handsome Noah is staying within range of the evil CCO`s in order to monitor and intercept top secret communiques.. :crazy: The Commander himself will sacrifice time in the snow in order to spy.. even if it means having to lie in front of a warm fire. Besides. His Nana does not like him out in the cold. :tongue:
