At the Ocean City GTG on Saturday night, we will be having a pot luck dinner. I'll be organizing that, so if you are planning to go, let me know how many in your party, and if you have a specialty or preference of what to bring. We will need Main Dishes, sides, and desserts. For those coming from too far or do not cook, we will also need paper goods (dishes, napkins, plasticware, etc.). And, if you can't bring food or goods, we'll sign you up for dishwashing! :whistling:

My party will just be me and my "boy" Gabe. I'd like to bring some paper goods (napkins, dinner plates, etc) and dessert, if that is okay.

Paul, myself, Ben and Maya. Since we are coming from Florida we will probably have to do something like plates, silverware. Or if there is a store nearby we can go get deli items. Just let me know.

Last year I did cup cakes. The only thing was they were beat up a little in the 6 hr drive. I can make what your need. I could also do BBQ and just warm it up when we get there. Give me a hollar on what you prefer.

I so wish I could make it this year. I'm still trying to get out of the Indiana trip, but even if I do, I can't haul Riley all the way up there in the middle of his rehab. Y'all have fun and I'll be wishing I was there again!

Heidi....there's a shopping center not too far away. Last year, I bought a big bucket of KFC for the dinner.

I only have a 2 hour-ish drive, so I can do something in the crock pot as long as I can refridgerate it Friday night. Maybe bbq beef or something along those lines?

We'll miss you and all of your crew. I was hoping to see how much Skye has grown. We're hoping Riley heals quickly!

That will be perfect.

For those driving up to stay over night, the condos have kitchens. I made white-bean chicken chili right there, along with a pot of rice. So if you bring your ingredients and recipes, you can cook on the spot, pots and pans are available for you to use in your kitchen.

Sheila we'll miss you. Give that boy a hug for us.

We will have Art and I. We'll bring sloppy joe in a crock pot for sandwiches.

Thanks for organizing the pot luck again. It was a lot of fun last year!

Sure wish we were coming again this year.. I have to make a trip down to Florida which will have me 9.5 hrs one way and then home again three days later. Don't know if I have the wherewithal to get right back in the car again for another 6.5 north.
The potluck dinner last year was awesome! I hope you guys have a marvelous weekend.
It's the perfect place to have a GTG!
The weather last year was perfect. Here's hoping for the same this year.
Have fun!!

Donna,

Do you have a preference of what you would like me to bring? I'm pretty open.. can do spinach dip like an appetizer... What do you need on your list yet?

Are we doing breakfast again too?

Yes, we are doing breakfast for Saturday, same thing as last year. I'll bring juice, bagels, muffins, etc., and folks who want to partake can pay $3/person. I'll have all the details once we get closer to time so folks won't forget. Same with the potluck dinner, once I sit down and go over everything, I'll post it here and ask for things if I think we need it. I'll wait until Oct. gets here before I get to organizing that, got too much on my plate right now to plan it too far in advance. Still working on getting one of the designs up in the store, CafePress is making the image into a thumbnail and not full size, so I'm waging war with that right now. <grin>

Suse is going to take over the Saturday Morning breakfast, I sent her the details.
So far I have three main courses, 1 dessert, and 1 is paper goods. Three have offered to bring anything. So I'm thinking we will need more main courses and desserts, some fruit and veggies (salad or cooked veggies are fine, like a veggie side of sweet potatoes or squash).
I can do vegan and/or gluten-free as well, so let me know if anyone had dietary restrictions.
Here's what I have so far, please feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong here or if you have any changes:

HeidiPeterson: Paper goods

NewfMom: Sloppy Joe (I think I saw this somewhere, but am not sure where, but if it's not sloppy joes, let me know!)

Suse:BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese

Lacey8975: BBQ

PABusinesswoman: dessert???

NewfObsessed, Logan (Jeff and Diane), and Drulzelot will bring anything. Chumleysma is going to come as well, and I'm guessing is open to suggestions?

One thing we did was since we spent a lot of time outside, we had a steady stream of chips and dips and veggies and nibbles on the table all day, so we didn't really have appetizers for dinner. There are kitchens in the condos so if you bring things which need to be cooked, crock potted, or warmed up, the rooms have ovens, stoves, pots and pans.

Keep the ideas coming!
