My stepmothers cat was put down on saturday morning, she was over 20 years old (probably around 23-24, I forget) and my stepmother had owned her since she was 2 weeks old, nursing her after she was abandonned by her stray mother.
She's always been a really snuggly cat, very affectionate, and despite being hit by a car once, it didn't slow her down much. She developed a tumor in her jaw that was most likely cancer made it hard for her to eat and drink, and grew so quickly it started to put pressure on her brain, making her blind and confused. It's been hard saying goodbye, I lived with her and my father for a while, and she was a great cat. Here's to hoping shee passed well and didn't feel much pain..
