Anyone looking for a young great pyr? I work with his shelter all the time and pull most of our puppies from them but right now our fosters are over full and no one can hold an older pup. I hate to see him PTS as he is supposed to be WONDERFUL per the staff that I have come to trust.

2rd dog down:

He is said to be good with kids and livestock.

Anyone interested? If so, I am happy to help all I can for a "rescue" pickup vs. adoption. They are rescue friendly - I take about 500 puppies / dogs a year from them but only certain staff members should be contacted for reasons that shouldn't be on a public forum. If I can assist anyone in saving him please feel free to email me directly at diane@pawsafe.org

I'm going to try to send this info to my ex boss. He had two pyrs, and they both died rather recently. They were both old and had health problems which he tended to very well. This boy looks wonderful and I know he misses his big boy...he used to bring his picture around to show people. He is the territory manager of Wellness foods. His email is bwilson@wellnesspetfood.com. If you could send it to him too, that would ensure at least one of them reaching him. His name is Bill Wilson. Thank you!!!

I have room for one foster. If it saves him, I could take him if you could help get him into a forever home. PM me if you are out of options.

Thanks for the foster care offer Tricia - but the issue isn't getting him to a local New England foster - it's getting him out of the shelter in NC ASAP and into a great pyr rescue or home. He's 3 hours from VA so if someone knows a pyr rescue then Animal Control would be glad to release him to that group. Some of the staff is very rescue friendly.

Isn't there anyone in NC who could pull him and hang on to him till transport could be arranged to Tricia?

There's got to be somebody who can pull this boy from the shelter. Robyn? (Sokol's mom) works with the guardian breeds. Maybe she'd be willing to take him, if we can get him out of the shelter and headed her way?

I can call about him today. I am in Greensboro, NC. I could pick him up and transport to VA. Who do I need to talk to about where he is to go? I can't really bring him home, but will do what ever to et him to a furever home.

I'm kind of a driver, used to sell/service medical equipment and drove 1500 miles a week. I could get maybe somewhere around Jersey if someone could get him that far North. I have all next week open.
