South Central would be the one for KY...we're a bit in no man's land. That poor dog needs help!

OMG, that poor dog! He needs to get into rescue!

I have emailed Diane Lynch and the contact for South Central with his info. Is anyone local that can just get him out of there?

I also got sent this boy's link from a Golden Rescue friend.

Glad to hear that his info has been sent to rescue. Thanks Lori. Since it's been done, I won't do it again, but if anyone hears anything more, could you please let us know?

I wonder how far Stanford is from me. I might be able to help.

Edited to add: I'm about an hour away. Will see if I can lend a hand in the am.

Poor Gage...I think there is a handsome boy underneath all that horrible coat....
He is very close to the shelter Trixie came from...Not the same one though.
I could pull him, but with Trixie here I am at four and absolutely could not keep him. I am at the limit of what I can physically handle.

Poor guy! That's similar to what Brenna looked like, when we got her off death row...only she had lots more mats, and was sick, too. I sure hope somebody pulls him from the shelter and gives him some grooming and TLC.

Somebody update, if you hear where he goes. Would love to see an "after" pic!

Googled Stanford and it's about an hour from me. With Jill pregnant and a full kennel, I can't keep him here, but I'd be happy to help with transportation.

SCNR was told over the weekend that another organization is getting him. Many times Petfinder is delayed in the updates, especially over weekends when it involves a shelter.

This posting was made by an organization trying to help get dogs out of this shelter, so they have a working relationship with the shelter itself. Everything works best through them, to avoid multiple people showing up and calling the shelter staff, which many times can lead to shelters not working with rescues. This boy should be fine and SCNR will monitor this situation. There is a horrible BYB who has popped up not far from this location, so we suspect we know where he came from and possibly how he got there. Sadly, we believe this area is going to be seeing more of these guys in this condition. Not good with such a rural area to work around.

That's good to know. If this does happen, and you find yourself with other issues in Central KY, I'd be happy to help out.

I did get an email back from Leslie with SCNR saying the same thing Susan said, that another rescue is suppos
ed to be getting this boy.

Sad to hear that we might be seeing more in such bad condition. I hate to think of how they are living, or surviving, as the case may be.
