The "gym mats" for Cooper came in today. We just finished laying them throughout the foyer. Coop hasn't tried to lay down and get back up on them. But - he did trot through the foyer with no slipping at all.

Here is Cooper "helping" us put down the mats:

He's really not very helpful.

I did the same for my laundry room. Do Not use the rolling brush mode on your vacuum. It rips into the mat. Oops!

Fantastic! We use those mats in our mud room and they are terrific. We have had a couple of accidents and you can just rip up the tile and either haul it outside and hose it down or throw it out and pop a new one in.

Is Cooper having a problem with the tile floors?

Ginny,

Yes. When he's laying down on the tiles, he has a hell of a time getting all four feet under him to get up. He really struggles and his paws just keep slipping out. If I'm here, I'll go over and help hoist him up. My concern has always been - what does he do when I'm not here? I'm so afraid he's going to pull or tear something in his tile struggles. He has no problem getting up or slipping on the black mats. (Though my mother now thinks I'm officially insane!) :shrug:
