Hi Everyone,
I just found out about this place, I have been owned by newfies for 16 years, right now we have a 10 month black newfie named Bentley and his half sister 16 month old landseer Belle, for my husband Ron and I (glory) there is no other breed, they are the love of our life.We have been married 35 years. We live in Wisc.
I am currently tryng water work with them both, Belle is doing great, she has only gone 3 times and already dived off the boat and let me grab her tail and swim to shore, and Bentley is still shy of the water, he only wades in, any suggestions as to how to get him to go in and actually swim, he did get on the row boat and was taken out about 80 feet from shore and took a dive into the water and swam to shore but then again he would only wade in the water. He wants to go in but just doesn't.
Any input would be helpful.
