I'm going to be changing Bear's name to "got a saddle for that". Just kidding but he is starting to recognize the phrase.

Funny. We were at a dog event in town and we heard a different version of the usual, "Got a saddle for her?" This man said, "Hey, I think she lost her rider!"

Murphy~ aka Boy, you must have a big house!

Tucker~ aka Is that drool? Ewwww!

Nellie~ aka I hope you have a good vacuum cleaner!

I hear the saddle thing a lot, too, like...geez! a person could almost ride one of those.
I just want to smack someone when I hear that! :slap:

We have made a family game out of it. We place our bets before going anywhere there will be a fair amount of people as to how many times we will here certain phrases. It takes a little of the annoyance out of it.

"look at those paws!!!"

"he's gonna be a big boy!"

"mama must have played with a dalmation!"

and my personal favorite from yesteday---"oh my god, he is so beautiful, my newfs are back home and I miss them so much, can I please pet him to death?!?" this was as a young woman spotted him and shoved her way through the crowded streets of San Francisco, then dropped to her knees and rolled on the sidewalk with him.

Do you know what's really fun, though? I'd walk about ten feet behind my husband as we walked in SF and hear all the comment people were saying about how gorgeous he is.
