Murphy at Rehab

Well Murphy is now 3 weeks post op on his left leg and is staying at his rehab facility. He is getting rehab 6 times per week and started water therapy this week. He is not progressing as fast as they had hoped because a seroma prevented him from the water treadmill earlier. If you want you can go to the website www.amcrehab.com and look under patient photos. He is second row from the bottom and his picture has his name when you click on it. They are really working on building muscle and range of motion. He is normally curled up like a crab, but this contraption allows him to stretch his back and straighten his legs without any risk of injury.

I've been thinking about Murphy also. I sure hope that Murphy is on the road to recovery and you can put all of this behind you. Hang in there and get well soon Murphy.

From my Murphy to yours.. prayers....
Thanks everyone. I'm really hoping this time everything will be complication free. This is truly Murphy's last chance to walk -- the only down side is that he is so far from home. Jen, I often think of your Murphy too and we are sending good thoughts and prayers coming your way as well. I'll keep everyone posted as to Murphy's progress!

Wow, I'd say your Murphy has the best shot possible at a wonderful recovery in a facility like that. Interesting that in scanning the photos, several cruciates were repaired using TTA vs. one TPLO. I don't know if that is indicative of the trends or training in CA...

Sending good/healing thoughts your boy's way.
