My husband was the photographer, sorry about the quality... you get the idea though :)

Uschi saving my friend's boyfriend

Swimming

Maybe she needed resuscitating? Incidentally- how do you get rid of climbing behavior? If you start moving forward just a tad when she gets to you, she'll swim right in. If you stand still, she'll climb on you.

This is how it's done!

Not liking the looks of the dock

And there's a video uploading to youtube as I type...

She's quite the little water dog! Loved watching her tushy swing back and forth as she was making her first 'save.' You go baby-doll!

She's a water dog already! Hurrah! To get her to stop climbing on you in the water, go out with treats (something soft like meatballs, hotdogs, etc) , make sure she sees it, and hold it with your arm stretched way out to your side, and teach her "around" as she follows the treat around you (you turn as she swims so in essence she is swimming around your body- or splash the water with that hand) Its super cute when they do this as puppies, but trust me, once they hit the 100lb mark, the scratches become huge lacerations, and if she gets on top of you its just plain dangerous (it's best to swim together with a life jacket). Shes doing great!

What Meg said!
It took Pae all of maybe two "around's" with a wet slimy hot dog before she *got it* and now does it sans treat.
That's one cute *@@ puppy Alex.

Thanks guys! We'll try that today :D I've been using chunks of whole fresh sardines as treats, seems appropriate since we're in salt water LOL
