Monty's Forever Home

Hi All,

On September 28, 2013, my family and I adopted Monty from Newf Friends Rescue. Monty is our first Newfoundland but we have been a fan of the breed since we met a 9 month old male named Bartholomew 20 years ago in a canine obedience class.

The Path to Monty:
I saw Monty's profile on Newf Friends Rescue almost immediately after he was posted for adoption in October 2012. We believed we were to far away to be considered for adoption. However as time went by and Monty's sweet face continued to tug at my heart strings, I decided to take a chance and put in an adoption application. Imagine our surprise when we finally got the call from Newf Friends. So may things fell into place for this adoption that I feel it was meant to be.

Thank you Jen, Monty's wonderful foster Mom, and all the volunteers at Newf Friends Rescue for the exceptional job that you do to help these beautiful dogs.

I'm Capt. Ricky Adjundant of the Newf Army. In Case Lt. Monty has not briefed you, he is the Upstate NY Area District Commander for recruiting for the Newfoundland Army. You may be unaware of the fact that Kats (Known as evil CCO's) our Newfoundlands Arch Nemisis, and we are currently in Armed Conflict with them. Lt.
