So sorry to hear of Molly's passing. It's amazing how the diet and homeopathic route can "buy" more time. I swear it's the fresh blueberries, kale, and other goodies, that kept our Lucy going for so long.

((HUGS)) to you, as you mourn Molly's passing.

Godspeed, sweet Molly.

thanks again guys for your kind words, we literally cannot stop crying everytime we walk into or out of rooms in the house we can see her, look out the windows we can see her in the garden and going to bed and waking up in the morning are particularly hard as she slept in our room and would say good night and good morning in such a warm way every day. going to the bathroom in the middle of the night last night i stepped over where she would normally be forgetting she wasn't actually there. i am so glad once she got into a downward spiral that it didn't go on too long she had great months up until december and for that we are grateful and proud of ourselves for doing all we could and it all made a big difference. she would have passed in weeks if we'd just tried the prescription diet and not the home cooking or the sub-Q fluids. she was truely the most precious soul (animal or human) we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. charlie would wow people with his size etc when out and about but within minutes Molly would have stolen the show as her character and spirit shined for all to see. everybody we know is in mourning because of her passing and when you have a vet and vet nurses; who deal with this daily; crying you know she was a special one. right now we are completely lost, we didn't ring in the new year last night we just feel pain but thankfully her pictures and recalling memories have already brought laughter and smiles as well as tears and in time it will get easier. in a lot of ways its a good time for her to go as we have time off work etc to help us deal with this. the world of non dog people out there just don't understand and thats sasd for them how much she could have meant to us. she was our baby from when we were 23 (dawn) and 25(me) we were only a couple for a year and now we're in our 30's and married etc, her story is our story and she taught us so much and made us the people and couple we are. we will never be anything but grateful for having her grace our lives in her regal, ladylike manner, so wise so balanced and yet a comedian to boot. no one was ever loved as much as she was and she returned that love many times over she was our "Doll"

No matter how many you love over the course of time, every one is special. Some are your heart dogs and no matter how many years go by their memories are always fresh and poignant. Molly will always be a heart dog for you, so special and so close. It is comforting to believe they wait at the Bridge for us, pain free and happy with their friends.

She is so pretty and I love her sweet name. I felt a cringe of emotion when you mentioned stepping over her without thinking, during the night. They are such a part of our most private lives. Kim
