Memorial Tattoo

Thinking of getting another tattoo (I have a Dolphin on my ankle) in honor of Oso, just not sure what it should be. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi, that's funny, I have the same idea, memorials to every dog I have lost. But I was thinking portraits. I am just afraid of them not getting it right, portraits have to be perfect. Not sure if a headshot/face only is what I want, or maybe a copy of a favorite full body shot. Are you looking for something small like a simple symbol, or an actual photo of Oso? Maybe one of his favourite things. Maybe you could post some pictures of your ideas and we can give feedback.

I have a portrait of my boy Tonka on my side. It's not a memorial picture because he's still around but wanted to do it before he's gone. Here's a picture.

Gorgeous tattoo!!!!

A little newf is a nice idea.

I really don't have any ideas.

I like the idea of a portrait but I think it would have to take up alot of surface area to get the detail right. Maybe something a little more subtle.

I was thinking of doing something in memory of Ebony also. But I kinda wanted something "generic" so that I could add the names of other passed pets in the future. I saw one on FB that was gorgeous. I don't know whose pic this is, so I'm sorry I can't give credit where it is due...

Thank you all. That tattoo was done from a picture of Tonka at the beach about 3 years ago. I know it might be too big for most people but it's actually one of the smallest I have. My whole upper body is completely covered.

2 evocative moving tattoos, never thought I'd be tempted to go under the needle.

Amazing what can be created these days. Photographic replication!

"He gets under my skin." ;) :)

Will watch this thread with interest and any graphics.

Wonder how many artists are commissioned for tattoos.

Since we live in a military area there are lots and lots of shops. I have a very small butterfly designed by DH. Had it done almost 40 years ago now but not visible to general public.

I had seen a woman in a wawa, she had 4 paws tattooed on the back of her leg, not to big but noticable (which I personally liked) I regret not asking about it and taking a closer look, but I think the 2 bigger ones were dogs and she had just names underneath and the 2 smaller I thought might have been cats.

Wonderful design...Erika did you design that?
