Koda needs good thoughts!

Our foster Koda is going through a little bit of a rough time. He has had some stool problems recently and even lost some weight despite the fact that he eats a good food and the right amount.

He had blood work done today to make sure nothing bad is going on.

I hope everything is okay, i'm nervous for the big guy.

Everything came back normal, which is good. But the loose stools and weight loss is still a concern, and now with no answers. hmmmm

Hope Koda's tummy trouble is sorted out soon. A stool sample would be a good idea. Could be a parasite of some kind. And sometimes they are hard to pin down. So even if he has been tested before, a repeat test might be a good idea.

Could it be his thyroid? I keep hoping it is some insignificant thing that can easily be remedied....please keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about the poor guy. Hope he gets better soon. Have they suggested a bland diet of burger or chicken an rice for a few days?

How long have you had him with you? Sometimes the change in drinking water can give them runs and tummy upsets, til they adjust.

Our girls always lose some weight in the summer, too. How much has he lost? Do you consider it significant, or just a few pounds?

Happy thoughts going out to Koda. I know how you feel. My Willow is being treated for Giardia - ugh. She's lost 7 lbs and still is not eating very well. That and the terrible heat we've had this past month have done her in.
