  • Hi Suzi, yes of course you may, it is Piper with a small trout in his mouth, he does adore his fresh fish, smelts, sardines, tuna, salmon, etc! We also have a Sam, our Golden Retriever, I occasionally use the screen name Samsmom on different sites. Congrats on Monty and I know the pain of loss you experienced. We now have 2 Newfs, Piper who is 4, Eli, 18 months, a breeder re-home, who is undergoing acupuncture treatment and our Sam. They are all characters, and I hardly ever have my camera with me to capture the moments, and if I do, the minute they hear the camera beeps when it turns on, they all stop and look at the camera. Help yourself to any photos you want they are on my face book under Anne Marie Day (Alberta) lets be friends.
I absolutely adore your newfie pic with a fish in mouth!! I laugh so hard when I see it. Can I save it to my picture folder with your name on it of course? I have a newfie dog file I use as my screensaver. I really enjoy the laughter it brings to me. Is it your newf?
I joined this forum in 2000 with my newfie Sammy . Then life sidetracked me, I went back to school, and only lurked a bit. Now my beloved Sammy just passed away on May 5 . He was my life. Almost 10. Tomorrow I have a new baby arriving. Monty. 10 wks. old. Ironically he is very closely related to my Sammy. I changed my name from "Sammy'smom" to Suzi.BC . I might changed to Monty's Mom in the near future, or just Montythenewf! Leaving it as Sammy'smom was painful.
So after my very long winded ramble, would I be able to save your newfie with fishie in mouth to my folder?

btw .. if not , please it's ok. I understand. thankyou so much for your time.

Thankx for the information on an alternate treatment-to bad this is a pre-exsisting condition-don't think I'll get insurance to cover this!
    Hello Anne Marie

I fell in love with my Winston Noble in August of 1993 and said farewell to him on May 9, 2003. Every year on the anniversary of his passing I make a donation the Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. in Whitby, Ontario. He started it all, and because of him we now have Sampson and Delilah, Bentley and Bessie, (our four Newfers) Beauregarde our Great Pyrenees and Mimzy, our Golden Retriever.

I find sometimes that six dogs is a lot, but I can't imagine living our lives without one of them. Delilah, our oldest (she will be seven in October) just had stem cell therapy in her hips due to arthritis. She was dragging her bum on the floor trying to get up and it broke our hearts watching her, so, with a cost of $2,929.12, the stem cell therapy seems to have made a difference, and she hasn't dragged her bum once since we had it done on March 17 (my birthday).

    Warmest regards,

    Dianna Beilschmidt
