I'm new here, but goodness I can't seem to pull myself away from the computer. This place is great, such a wealth of information. I don't bring my pup home for 6 weeks, but I think I'll be quite armed with info for him. I really want to just dive in and start commenting on everyone's threads, so you each know that I think it's great to meet everyone and I AM reading all you have to say!
I've got hoards of pics of Gilly and plan to post those soon, in the mean time I'm off to befriend lots of you and to keep expanding my Newf knowledge!
What a treat!

Hi Chantel.
I read the story of little Gilly in another thread. BE CAREFUL!! You'll be picking out another one before you know it! It is very contagious:heart:

Hello and Welcome! Yes, be very careful, there is a phrase "Newfoundlands are like potato chips.....you can never have just one."

When I first joined Newf.net my puppy wasn't even conceived yet, and now 1-1/2 years later I have my puppy who is 9 months old, and we were blessed to be able to be a new home for Emma who is nearly 5 years old!

Welcome to Newf Net...and very soon, to newf ownership. Jump right in and say "hi"...don't be shy. Remember...there are NO dumb questions. If you think to ask it, then others may want to know also. Just be sure to use the "search" function to see if anyone else has asked/answered it already, and if you still need more info, then post the question.

Can't wait to see pics and start hearing stories of your new baby, when you bring it home. :)

Note the 2622 posts later.

Careful, you too will become a Newf addict. We are all nuts!

I hope you'll enjoy learning as much as I have from NN. I've been here five years, and without NN, I wouldn't have been able to care for my Newfs the way they should be cared for.

It's because of NN I've been able to meet people who've taught me about everything Newf. From feeding, to health, to grooming, etc etc.

I had plenty of experience with other breeds, but not with Newfs. They're different ... they're special ... and they need and deserve everything we can do "right" for them!

Enjoy the site!! It's a great place with great people!
