I am so sorry you have to make this decision. So many of us have been there and we know, but you must remember that you are doing this for him and it is a gift. Please let us know what happens.

I know it's a hard decision to make. It's in the best interest of Monty, to let him have peace. You will always treasure memories that will stay with you and keep Monty always in your heart.

This morning at 9:10 I had Monty put to sleep. His heart was very weak and also the vet thought he might have cancer since he lost so much weight.
Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers. It was a difficult decision to make but I know I made the right one. I had to do what was best for my sweet gentle Monty. He now waits at the rainbow bridge with my Jane.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Such a tough thing to do, but it sounds like it was what was best for him.
