They just do not understand/feel cold. Gracie will not do her business in my yard. So at 15 below this morning, three trips around the block and 20 minutes later she finally dropped a deuce. Then she wants to keep on a walking, no way. She's still my girl though. Dave

Me thinks she has you trained....:D If she really has to go, she'll eventually potty in your yard. Stay tough!

Oh, but don't you know she just has to walk three times around the block to find the perfect spot. Gosh forbid she find it the first time! They train us so well.

My friend's lab used to get in the "poop position" and walk around the yard like that. She knew he wouldn't call her to go in while she was "pooping".

You want me to feel sorry for you??? :) I know your pain well. With no fenced yard, we too walk, since Snuffles won't do #2 in his own yard or either on a tether. So we too have to walk till he does it no mater what the weather. This has to be the coldest winter, but I can deal with that. It is the deep snow or ice. Snuffles just can't find that place in deep snow and when he does, I think he picks the deepest snow to do it in.

Funny! It's been snowing the past few nights, and when I take Orca out to pee he won't go any further than the front steps! Unless my daughter's out there running around with him, he's trying to drag ME back in the house during potty breaks!

When I first got bernie,he would wee/poo on our back garden but he got bigger and so did his wee's and with all the rain we've had and plus him doing his business on the grass it's killed it all off and it's like a mud pit,so Hubbie put a fence to block the grass off,so he had to use the paving slabs instead,it took him 5 days to finally do a poo on the slabs, but I wasn't giving in,now he happily poos on the slabs and it's a lot easier to pick up and clean the slabs,so come summer, the kiddies will be able to play on the grass again,so agree, persevere and she will do it
