I love my 9 yr old Grandson

I just received this email from my daughter in law and had to share it.

Hey there! I thought you'd think this was sweet (and super sad!)

Sammy woke up this morning crying and couldn't get over it for some time….i had him write down his dream to get it out of his head…


Sammy's Nightmare Friday August 31, 2012

I had this dream a few times this week, and it's so sad.
There was a bear that tried to kill everybody and then one day my dad shot it to protect me and then i looked in the cage and I realized that it had a cub and it was just trying to protect the cub and he thought everyone was trying to hurt it. I felt so bad so I made a sign on the cage that said “I need help” and then people started giving him food for the cub and for him.

There were two kinds of endings. There was a grizzly bear that came and killed the bear in the cage.

The other ending was when the bear in the cage got sick from being shot and died.

“I hate nightmares and dead animals. That's why I want to be a vet.”

Has he seen the movie Brother Bear? His dream reminds me of it, somewhat.

The dream probably happened because there is a bear that lives around them, and is seen quite often in their yard. It even broke the window out of my son's car because it smelled something in there that it wanted. Sammy is a very bright kid, he amazes me, I am very sure he could actually become a vet someday. He has a true love for animals. He has a cat that they got when he was quite a bit younger, he manhandled the poor thing so much I worried about it, and told my son to not let him be rough with it, my son laughed at me and said "mom that cat is crazy about Sammy", and he was right, that cat follows him everywhere, sleeps with him every night. He wants a Newfie so bad , maybe I had better make a deal with him now. I'll give him a puppy, and he gives me free vet services later on. I will definitely hold on to this email just in case. I am not sure if he has seen Brother Bear, but probably has.
