How much pumpkin

I have read many a thread on here about pumpkin. What I haven't been able to find, is roughly how much would anyone recommend I mix in my boys food daily to help firm him up. He is 8 1/2 months old, weighs 94 lbs, and is currently eating 5 cups daily of eagle pack large/giant breed formula. Any help would be great.

Just a couple heaping tablespoons in 2-3 consecutive feedings always helped Boaz out. I usually have to toss the remainder of the can of pumpkin cause it's not needed.

We feed homegrown pumpkin daily for about half the year..........We would feed about 1/2 cup each. But it is not for loose poops, just because it is what we grow in the veggie garden and we have so much of it. We have not had any loose poop for a very long time. If our poops get a little loose I feed more bones..........We feed RAW and that is just what we do

Yes - the can must say PURE Pumpkin. 2 - 3 heaping tbsp is good; I freeze what's left but when I thaw it, I have to squeeze out the water...... I don't know if I'm frugal or cheap!!! LOL!

Since I have 4, I go through a small can of 100% pumpkin without waste. But 2-3 tablespoons works 4 me also. They will eat it off the spoon if I let them.

What I do here (after finding that I would use a 1/4 of the canned pumpkin and end up throwing the rest of the can away) is to fill up a couple of ice cube trays with the pumpkin and stick it in the freezer - then if I needed it - it would pop out a couple for the day(s) I needed it....and always had some more on hand when I needed it again.

I also do the ice cube tray to make little frozen smoothie treats for the dogs - they love them!

Kathy that's a great idea I never thought of that.

I think I was using the wrong pumpkin. I thought it said pure but I was getting it in the baking section so I found that only a spoon or two worked but if I happen to give it just one extra feeding it gave them loose poos.

Raw potato works amazing (not the whole one only a quarter of a small one).

I agree the pure pumpkin has been hard to find..I found abig can at Shaw's(a local grocer) and I use about 2-3 tbsps in the morning and place the rest in a container in the frig.....I have not had a problem with it going bad.:shuffle:
