Henry was invited to visit his puppies. They are 10 weeks old and leaving this week for their new homes. One couple drove from New Hampshire to pick up blue boy and wanted to meet Henry. I wanted to meet them too. Hilda bred Henry's great, great, great great grandfather (Int'l CH Our Bearbrooks Domino, CD, TD, DD born in 1982) and I always loved the looks of this dog and thought Henry really favored him. I was very anxious for Hilda to see Henry and very excited that she wanted one of Henry's boys.

This was the first time Henry came back to his kennel. It was very interesting to watch. You could tell he remembered everything. He knew he way around the kennel and even the other dogs were not upset at the newcomer. It was as though they knew he belonged there. The puppies rushed out to greet him. No fear at all. And even momma was quite comfortable with this stranger in the puppy yard with her babies.

Of course I took lots of pictures!!! I put them in a slide show. Here is a link to the pictures. All the puppies have homes.

What a wonderful presentation of a heart-warming story! It is so fascinating to see the different ways adult males respond to puppies, isn't it? What a warm and friendly dad Henry seems to be... and one mighty handsome Newf, too!

This boy continues to amaze me. This gentle side of him really blows me away. Where did my naughty boy go?

Oh yeah....it's in a smaller black package called Truman!!!!

Thank you so much. The puppies are all going to wonderful homes and the breeder will be keeping in contact with everyone. I also will have some emails so I hope to be able to watch them grow up.

On a personal note, this is why I couldn't be a breeder. The responsibility of sending these precious babies out into the world is almost overbearing. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to let them go.
