Help get a Military Dog in Afghanistan to the UK

I came across this article about a dog adopted by UK soldiers in Afghanistan: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/devon/8450181.stm

"Tangye the black Labrador has survived gun battles and explosions but troops fear he could end up being killed." "Tangye is described by the soldiers of C company as 'fearless under fire' "

I have written to The Rifles website asking how I could help get Tangye to the UK. If enough people write, the Army will do something to help... it would mean a lot to the lads and make sure their Tangye has a long natural life.

Please go to "The Rifles" web site and appeal to the Army: http://www.army.mod.uk/15366.aspx

This is what I sent:

I would like to help the lads of C Company, 3rd Battalion, The Rifles, to get their mascot dog Tangye a home in the UK.

How can I help get Tangye to the UK?

Hmm.... I checked both links and they work from here. If all else fails, since you are in the UK, you might drop a note to your MP. :)

My submission

Please, what can be done by those of us who love dogs, especially those that serve their country and Western Civilization so well to help get Tangye to the UK? These dogs deserve our everlasting help and support. They have given us their all

I just heard from a friend in the UK and she has contacted her MP pleading on behalf of Tangye and the men of C Company.... What a joy if we are able to make this happen, what an incredible morale boost for the men of The Rifles!
