Hello to old friends

I don't know if many of you remember me since I haven't signed on to Newf Net for so long ... it's probably been a year and a half or so. I stopped being a regular when my sweet Merrick passed on ... I just couldn't manage to get myself to log in after that. But on a whim I thought I would drop in and say hi and I hope that everyone and their newfs are doing well.

I stopped by the rainbow bridge and saw that some of your sweet babies have passed on, many of them I remember since they were puppies. Please accept my sincerest condolences for all of your losses. I couldn't bear to read all the posts, so I apologize for anyone I've missed.

Just a quick update on our household. Zatara is doing well, although at almost 10 years old, he is definitely slowing down a bit. Grizzly Bear (Pomeranian) is just as adorable as ever -- at almost 11, he is slowing down too but he still looks every bit the puppy. Come to think of it, I'm slowing down a bit too! ;)

Not to be a complete downer, we do have some good news too. We have a new family member since I last posted -- a beautiful Eclectus Parrot named "Neo". And I have two grandchildren now--I LOVE being a grandma!

I'm a newer member, so I just wanted to say hello and welcome back. Are you a member of SCNC? I live in Southern Indiana and we just became members so I might see you at some of the functions! :bear:

Welcome back (even though I wasn't on here when you were)! Also, big congrats on becoming a grandmother (twice!)! Hope to see more of you in the future!

Welcome back, and I'm glad you are back and hope you'll stay a while.
We have a Senior Forum now, quite a few of us have older Newfs.

Thank you all for the welcome.

@Pammy Sue, I am indeed a member of SCNC -- unless I forgot to pay my dues! I haven't participated in any events in a very long time.

Welcome back! I understand what it is like when you lose a loving Newf. I took a break too when I lost my boy Hamilton in December. But there is so much more life to share and so many people here at Newf Net. It makes sharing again a little easier. I'm blessed to have had the 4 wonderful years I had with my boy and continue to be blessed with Cubby. Our bond has strengthened over the past few months. Nothing bring a smile to my face faster than seeing her big black nose in my face first thing in the morning!
