I just wanted to say how grateful I am for being able to be a part of this site- I only had a Newf for a short time- (he was my shooting star) but the support and advice that I got during that time was immeasurable! I've met so many great people and awesome dogs here and love to check in on how everyone is doing and see pictures of the dogs. Thanks to everyone for being a great group of people with the world's greatest (and dare I say strangest) breed of dogs (C'mon.. We all know it's true) (we are all a little goofy too for what we put up with owning them!.. But oh what you get back makes it so worth it right?!?!)
I've found that not all Newf forums are as kind and supportive- so just wanted to give this site a shout out! Thanks again!!!

This site is one of the best around, the history kept in here is amazing. GAD and the MOD's have always done a wonderful job People and newfs come and go but to actually get to really know some of them is amazing. Newf souls are very special (once again people & their pups)

I feel "safe" posting on this site. It's nice knowing I won't be attacked or if it should happen the mods will step in to stop it. This site has helped me with my dog and earned my trust over the years so I try to help others with my veterinary experience in the laboratory.

This has to be the only web site where you can comfortably post anything without fear of attack. I am on the Newfoundland site on facebook and I do have to watch what I say, but here is comfort. I have suggested N-N to several who are unhappy with facebook.

Agree a 1000000000% I've had my fare share of troubles with bernie in such a short time and I've had nothing but support and helpful advice, this place is pretty damn amazing and so are the people!

I also like and appreciate how positive this group is. I'm not afraid to post a question and get bashed. I find some of the other groups, particularly some Facebook groups, can be a little hostile.

It's hard for me to imagine people owning newfs that can be so harsh! Newfs generally bring out the best in all of us. Some of the other sites people really get into a brawl...over nothing...so to all who have been here forever...thank you for all the advice and concern. It means so much to us all!
