She came to me when she was 2 yrs old, full of mats and quite smelly. Vet thought her teeth were crooked from chewing on a crate. She became a true Newfie from the first day. She has been just a wonderful companion, super friendly, just loving everything and everybody. She's getting close to 12 years old and she let me know it was time. She's going to see the vet for the last time today and will be missed. I could not have had a better buddy.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of such a wonderful companion, Dave. It's always a special privilege when these dogs let us into their hearts and they firmly reside in ours. Losing that connection is so difficult.
