Going on Walks...or Walking Me :)

Today marks the 9 week mark since Denali's accident. Sweet boy is doing well! We had his follow-up visit with his orthopedic surgeon on the 2nd, his pelvis bone is nicely healed and the plate the put in has settled nicely. Denali weighed in at 100lbs, which means he has gained back the weight he lost. He just turned 10 months old two weeks ago and we are so thankful to have him :) We are now instructed to take him on 30-minute daily walks over the next 4 weeks and after that he can enjoy light running around the yard. Denali enjoys his walks...or enjoys taking me on walks. lol. He doesn't pull, which is awesome, but he's developed this thing where he likes to hold the leash in his mouth and "walk me". We love him so much!! Just thought I'd share!

Maybe walking with the leash in their mouths is a newf thing? We have three other dogs that are non-newts and they don't hold their leashes :) but Denali typically walks with his leash in his mouth. I think it's the cutest thing!
