Found Newf, Northern Wisconsin

[FONT=&quot]I just got a call from our veterinarian's office, reporting a black adult male Newf in a shelter about two hours south of us, in Phillips, Wisconsin.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]According to the report, he has been there since this past Thursday.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]No information was available as far as markings. He is wearing a red conventional collar, plus an "electronic" collar. (Presumably for invisible fence.) This secondhand report says that "he appears to be an outside dog, and at the moment seems content and happy."[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I know nothing about the shelter, but information is available online. The address is variously given as Phillips Wisconsin, Park Falls Wisconsin, and Fifield Wisconsin. These towns are all in the same vicinity, so it seems likely that all this info refers to the same organization.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I don't know any Newf owners in that area, but my wife is starting to call around her contact list. I know there are some other NewfNetters to the south of us, but I don't recall exactly where, hence this post.[/FONT]

Thanks, Cissy- I never would have thought of that. And all is very well here- Nelson's recovering incredibly, Abbie loves her short walks and car rides, Ernestine is as full of mischief as ever, and Mary amazes us in new ways every day. And Jen... you bet!
