eye boogies

Why does Bindi have eye boogies every day? The are neither green or yellow...just kinda whiteish(so, I am not too worried about infection)..She has short hair around the face, so I can take a wet paper towel and whipe them off. But this happends about twice a day..hummm her eyes are not red or irritated or anything like that.

I just accept it as part of newfie-dom. I always wipe the eyes. And if i think about it, about twice a day. All my newfs have had this and so have a lot of my non-newf dogs. As long as it is not super thick or green/pussy looking it is fine. It is a bit like sleep in our eyes

Rocky has them all through allergy season. They go away when it gets cooler around here. And I thought my days of wiping faces off were over now that my boys are grown. :)

Nigel's actually got worse this summer, he had a thicker yellowish discharge coming from his eyes. Emma nothing. The vet explained that allergens, etc., can collect in the eye lid....especially because Nigel has droopy eyes so that you can see the pink, Emma's eyes are not droopy at all. We have eye drops and/or pills to give him when we see it flare up, I expect by winter this will not be a problem.

River has eye boogies too, and very droopy eyes. Vet says it's normal unless anything changes. Just part of the bodily fluids we deal with for our babies!!

Eye boogers are the worst to clean off the walls. I swear they have paint remover in them. ;) I usually am always cleaning their eyes. Guess it's part of being a newf mom!

who should be on her way to the bakery to bake, but hanging out on newf net is way more fun!

Max and Marcus both have "eye boggies" in the morning. Marcus worst than Max as he has some environmental allergies. We wipe them with a warm, damp cloth and they are fine the rest of the day. Marcus has seasonal allergies so his are worst in Spring and Summer
